    Zone is a 30 % protein, 30 % fat and 40 % carb weight loss diet.

    Ornish diet is a very low fat diet plan.

    Learn is a low-fat, moderately high carb diet.

    The findings of this study after 6 months was that all the women lost weight steadily, but the women that were on Atkins had the fastest weight loss. After the initial 6 months all the women started gaining back the lost weight. The study found that the women on the Atkins diet, after a year, had lost more weight than the other women on other diets. It also found that the cholesterol levels were just as good in the women on the Atkins diet as the ones on the other diets.

    So what is the answer to our question, Why does eating protein with good fats and less carbs start the fat flushing process quicker than the counting calories and eating low carbs? The answer is a little more complex that we think. One thought is that eating high protein foods slows the digestive system thereby the food stays in your system longer and you feel more full and eat less. Another thought is that the high protein diet keeps your blood sugar from rising too fast as does a diet high in carbs that digest quickly and thus you don't get as hungry. Also the body uses more energy to digest the high proteins and fat, thereby working your body faster to use of the food you have eaten. Whatever the reason, it is a proven fact that you will lose weight faster on a high protein, high fat, low carb diet than on other types of diets with low fat and high carbs.

    What is going to be different in this fat burning high protein weight loss book than any other book on the web today? Number 1 is that I don't believe in putting your body under the stress of a condition called ketosis. Ketosis is a condition brought on by eating lots of fat and protein and very few carbs, thereby forcing your body to burn fat for carbs.
