I am a proud alumni of a HBCU – Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
After serving my country for two years during the Vietnam War (1963-65), I moved to Southern California and made the Golden State my lifelong home.
For 33 years, I worked for the California State Dept. of Industrial Relations (Apprenticeship Standards) as Senior Labor Relations Consultant. I retired in 2004.
Since then, I’ve been blessed with the time to indulge my dearest passion – entertainment.
I’ve been a performance artist all of my life. My love for the stage landed me the lead role of Muddy Waters in the play, “When Muddy Waters wasn’t Muddy”. And while I’ve enjoyed acting and performing spoken word, playing piano and guitar is where my true passions thrive. I have had the opportunity to perform with many accomplished artists. I’ve played with T-Bone Walker, Etta James, Percy Mayfield, Big Joe Turner, and Eddie “Clear Head” Vincent, just to name a few.view less
