I was born and raised in northeast Tennessee near the Great Smokey Mountains. My family and I lived in a close net community, consisting of large extended families. My family was very close, there was my mother and father two brothers and a sister. We didn't have much but we had each other. I grew up loving the outdoors. When I graduated from high school I started working in retail. I spent fifteen years in retail and there I meet people from all over the world. During that time I took classes in the local community college. I tried computer programming then legal aid and decided these weren't for me.
After I went to work at the Developmental Center for people with developmental disabilities; I decided to go back to college and get my degree to teach school. During this time I took classes in creative writing, it helped me to be able to express myself. Many nights I put my great-nephew and great-niece to bed telling them stories. I wanted to be able to share with other people through publication my thoughts and dreams.view less
