She is the author of two previous poetry collections, “Seasons,” and “Poetically Speaking: Poems for the Elementary Classroom,” and a memoir, “Layers of Living”. Dr. Lee uses poetry in her classroom to advance the literacy skills of her students, and has been instrumental in many of them publishing their personal poetry. When not writing, Dr. Lee enjoys gardening, traveling, and engaging in new craft projects. She gains her inspiration from her students and ordinary, everyday life experiences.view less
