She has a passion for health and wellness. She speaks and writes to the public on the topics of public health and naturopathic medicine (a system of medicine that places emphasis on prevention of illness with natural therapies designed to support the body's healing process). She enjoys writing in the area of mind, body and spiritual healing. "It is particularly important for us to educate ourselves on health-related subjects so we can prevent disease, regardless of genetic and hereditary roles in our family histories. When we educate ourselves—by doing our own research and gaining personal experience—we can better teach our children to live healthy lives." She enjoys the subjects related to nutrition, herbs, and exercise with their positive effects on health in the disease process.
Dr. Cole completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health with a specialization in Epidemiology from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Everglades University in Boca Raton, Florida, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Alternative Medicine. She has provided educational support services on mind, body, and spiritual healing through her businesses, and has taught numerous health sciences courses at both graduate and undergraduate institutions of higher learning in the traditional campus and distance-learning settings.
Dr. Cole is the blessed wife of William and mother of two wonderful sons, William and Khalil Cole, who inspired her to write this book 12 years ago. "I truly enjoy spending quality time with my family! They are important to me and I never want to be too busy for them." Her inspiration also came from her nieces and nephews, as well as all of the children in the world who need to learn about the importance of food, nutrition, and what it can do for their growing bodies.view less
