OIA's mission is to issue daily reports based upon Garry's interpretation of price, volume and open interest for commodities. Since 2014, Open Interest Analyst has been dedicated to providing institutional research for clients of Bloomberg Professional Service.
Garry began trading commodities part-time in the 1970's at the beginning of a commodity boom when commodity volatility began to increase after the U.S. sold a large amount of wheat to the former Soviet Union. When financial content exploded on the internet in the 1990's, Garry spent fifteen years carefully analyzing data in his spare time using information that had not been readily accessible. He evaluated every technical and fundamental approach that could possibly present an edge. Through trial and error he developed a set of protocols that helped him identify trades that have higher probabilities of success.
During his early years of trading he made his share of mistakes and these were costly at times, however, this experience enabled Garry to develop a set of rules regarding trade selection, position management and how to avoid costly emotional responses. This work also informed him on what not to do. This is an area rarely discussed, but is crucial for investors.view less
