In her professional life, Chandra is the Northern California Staff Director for SEIU-USWW, one of the largest and most active unions in the country representing some of the most vulnerable workers in California. Before SEIU Chandra was the Business and Community Director for San Jose Jobs Corps, a Federal Residential Workforce Educational Program under the Department of Labor. While at Job Corps, Chandra established partnerships with organizations such as Levi Stadium, Smart & Final, Kaiser and The Valley Transportation Authority. In this position, Chandra recruited local Congress members Michael Honda, Anna Eshoo and Zoe Lofgren to join the Friends of Job Corps Caucus, a National Caucus that advises the National Job Corps Association.view less
