I was born and raised in Conway, AR. I attended and graduated from Conway Senior High School in 1981. I pursued a career in nursing; and I am currently working as a Psychiatric Nurse; which I absolutely love.
I started writing poetry when I was much younger and somewhere down the line just got away from it. But in 2008 I was sitting at home in my wheelchair at the time, feeling sorry for myself and a friend of mine said to me, "Why don't you start back to writing your poetry and releasing what you are feeling, instead of having a pity party." So I put my pen and paper and my computer to work. The name "Sounds of the Heart" is just that; everything you will read or have read is something that I have either experienced or felt. I know that there are people out there going through some of the same things that I have gone through but don't know how to release, relate, relax and let go. I want you all to know that you are not alone; I have been there and done that.
My biggest accomplishment in life has been raising my three wonderful boys to be wonderful young men; Terrance Crenshaw, Dr. Brandon "Tramell" Mack and Travis "Deon" Mack. I have two beautiful grandchildren who are definitely the apple of my eye; Tre'lan Crenshaw and Addison Crenshaw. My mother Joyce Mosby Haynes has become my best friend. God has brought us through many trials and tribulations and I wouldn't trade them or her for anything in this world. All that I have been through has made me the me that I am today.
I hope that you have enjoyed reading about me and learning who I am inside. I appreciate you for supporting my endeavor to help someone else along the way.view less
