Amatullah-Muqsit is a chaplain with the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, working in a maximum facility for women. As of this writing, Jenanah has been there for over seventeen years. She is a mother of five, three young men and two young women. Her oldest son is deceased. Jenanah is also a grandmother of fifteen and great-grandmother of nine with one more on the way. She has two home-based businesses and is working on two undergraduate degrees and endeavors to be a prolific writer of books that touches the soul. She is presently in the process of writing her second book in collaboration with her son, who went through and overcame severe depression in his second and fourth year of college.
Her educational goal is to obtain her master’s degree in criminal justice and then go on to law school, majoring in international law, with a minor in civil law. She says she is a late bloomer baby boomer and does not want to die with her songs still in her, so she is collapsing time frames. She also wants to leave a rich legacy for her family to follow. Jenanah looks forward to becoming a world renowned author with a book in every household that is helping everyone to make their day a better day and their life a better life.view less
