He credits his love of learning to his early years of Jesuit education. He is a retired marketing executive from a US pharmaceutical company in the Philippines. Together with his wife Ruth, they raised five children. They moved to the United States in the 1980s, where he started a second career with a popular outdoor outfitting company. He enjoys being patriarch of the Balao clan and being a doting grandpa ‘Lolo Fong’ to his nine grandchildren. He currently lives in Lynnwood, Washington.view less
