About this audiobook
Elisabeth Scrivener is finally settling into her new life with sorcerer Nathaniel Thorn. Now that their demon companion Silas has returned, so has scrutiny from nosy reporters hungry for gossip about the city’s most powerful sorcerer and the librarian who stole his heart. But something strange is afoot at Thorn Manor: the estate’s wards, which are meant to keep their home safe, are acting up and forcibly trapping the Manor'’ occupants inside. Surely it must be a coincidence that this happened just as Nathaniel and Elisabeth started getting closer to one another…
With no access to the outside world, Elisabeth, Nathaniel, and Silas—along with their new maid Mercy—will have to work together to discover the source of the magic behind the malfunctioning wards before they’re due to host the city’s Midwinter Ball. Not an easy task when the house is filled with unexpected secrets, and all Elisabeth can think about is kissing Nathaniel in peace. But when it becomes clear that the house, influenced by the magic of Nathaniel’s ancestors, requires a price for its obedience, Elisabeth and Nathaniel will have to lean on their connection like never before to set things right.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5For people who loved the characters and wholesome antics of A Sorcery of Thorns! This novella was beautifully written, left you feeling warm and fuzzy and also possibly hopeful for another book in the future! Just enough intrigue to keep you guessing on if there will more without feeling unfinished or cheated out of a good ending. Eager to read more of her work!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5So good. Wholesome, funny, full of depth and heart. I love the complexly rendered relationships of these characters. Thoroughly enjoyed it! I hope we get another one sometime ☺️
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Trashy fantasy romance. No plot, whimsically saccharine, stupid and boring.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Short and sweet, very good! Delves more into Silas and Thorn.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Was so sweet and such a good addition to the original book :)
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Cosy fantasy sequel with atmospheric magic and beautiful relationships ✨️
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was such a cute novella. The characters stayed true to themselves through the entire story and it paired so nicely with the main story. Any insecurities were addressed (and matched with the personalities of the characters so well). I only wish we had gotten a POV from Nathaniel. Beautifully conducted and exactly what I hoped for.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Omg, I loved it! I want to say I can't believe Silas orchestrated that whole ploy but considering he wants to plan this wedding and has "already chosen the flowers" I'm not surprised ??? now if there is no book 2 I will lose my shit. There must be a book 2!
