About this audiobook

"'Level up even while offline'?! That's not a game on 'easy mode'—that's just an AFK game!"

The online game Yamada Kenichi had been playing religiously is shutting down its servers, leaving him with a void in his heart. He looks for a new game to fill it, but everything he finds is way too easy. The kind of game he likes—the kind punishing enough to make players want to spend thousands of hours on it—just isn't around anymore.

"What's this? 'You are invited to a game that will never end.'"

Kenichi stumbles upon an untitled game, one promising incomparable challenge with unprecedented potential. Without hesitation, he selects the "Hell Mode" difficulty. Lo and behold, he finds himself reincarnated in another world as a serf!

Now called Allen, he sets out to unlock the secrets of his mystery-laden Summoner class; without the convenience of walkthroughs, game guides, or online forums, he must grope his way to the top of his new world!

I enjoyed this story much more than I had anticipated, so much so I listened to the whole book in one stretch and am immediately going to listen to book two as soon as I finish the review.
This was such a wholesome story, I hadn't expected all the characters to be so likeable. Contrary to typical of this genre, the main character chooses to help his whole community and instead of being ruthless when challenged, he chooses to be a good sport. Anyhow, if you feel like listening to a thoroughly enjoyable, wholesome fantasy, thats not super exciting but interesting enough to hold your attention, then I really recommend this book regardless of the recording issues.

As the below commenter mentioned, the audio is really quite horrible though I didn't realise that until I read the comment. Besides this, I enjoyed the narration, I've heard better but that's a very high bar to reach, there is nothing wrong with the narration, they brought the story to life really well.

Pre Finish... Audio IS really Bad. Like the Voice Actor useing a Bad Microphone.

Has a light bussing that persist regardless of Output source.

Story and everything Else is enjoyable. Voice Actor IS a bit to screamy, when characters Go Wild xD.

Note. Audiobook 2 has the Sound Problem rixed.
