- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Marlee's point of view was interesting. After reading out I still like her, I don't hate her, I haven't lost respect for her and I might actually like her better. That is better than any of the other Selection novella main characters can claim. I still find myself quite skeptical that Marlee and Carter shared such a strong love but had never met before the selection. But if that's what Kiera Cass felt like writing, at least this short story ist as bad as her other novellas.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It's an amazing book! It shows he love of Marlee and Carter, Marlee's close friendship with America, and the promise of Maxon as king.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Makes me wish Marlee was the lead for this series instead of America.
A cute side story that helps explain what happened behind the scenes. Not necessary to read but a treat for Marlee and Carter fans. - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Wow...this came across like a collection of the author's bad afterthoughts. It wasn't cute. It wasn't anything new. It was ...'possibly'... all the scenes that didn't make the original cut thrown together to make a disjointed novella. Glad I borrowed from the library!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I liked Marlee and I liked Carter. I was upset what happened to them in the regular series. I'm glad this gives the view from Marlee's side of things. You get to see a few behind-the-scenes that were not in the regular series. I was glad they could be together but never understood the whipping. I would have just fired him and sent them away. They weren't doing anything in front of the cameras so the general public didn't know.
