So much profanity - I made it through barely 10 minutes.

Fair to good. I suspect novels set up with AI will be plentiful. But will seem dated soon enough.

It’s an easy shortcut for plot and dialog.

Didn't know what to think about this book when it first started but as it goes on I'm lacking it more and more can't wait to read the other four now

Funny, fast action, and PG side story of Etheric Federation.

It was a different book structure than what I’m used to, and I felt like several chapters were nothing but the AI BS-ing with himself. It seemed to drag for a while then was good during an exciting part then dragged again with the story arc progressing slowly. After book one we still don’t know what a katherian is other than some vague descriptions of their tech which annoyed me. It may be that the author planned to tell the story over several books and therefore took his time. Still I like that it is being told from the perspective of an AI Capitan that doesn’t really need a crew but wants one. I also like all the sci fi pop culture references. Cautiously looking forward to book 2
