About this audiobook
Start with a plan. One of the biggest reasons goals fail is that we often don’t put enough thought into what we really want before diving in. Your Goal Guide by Debra Eckerling starts with that first, crucial step: figuring out your goals and putting a plan in place. As a professional writer, communications specialist, and project catalyst with more than 20 years of experience, Eckerling is prepared to help you achieve success.
A method that works. Eckerling presents readers with her own tested and proven method: The DEB Method. DEB is a brainstorming and task-based system and stands for: Determine Your Mission, Explore Your Options, Brainstorm Your Path. Eckerling's method is a roadmap for goal setting that helps professionals lay down a plan and accomplish their mission.
Making the process as stress-free as possible. Goals can be intimidating because of the pressure we often put on ourselves to succeed. However, Eckerling believes that setting goals should be easy—we just need the right tools to tackle them. Through a combination of writing exercises and systems, Eckerling provides readers with a process for making and setting goals that is stress-free and easy-to-manage.

- To-the-point advice and user-friendly recommendations

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a mixed bag. While some appreciate the detailed and informative content, others dislike the narrator's style and voice. The book offers practical tools and helpful tips for setting and achieving goals, but some find it difficult to follow as an audiobook. Overall, it is recommended for those feeling a little lost and in need of inspiration.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5• I love this audiobook so much that I want to do majority of the suggested Action Items. To do such, it would be best if I try to get ahold of a physical copy or at least a e-book copy.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5excellent book! very detailed, very well stuctured, very clear. I learned a lot!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent book! Pointers are real life situations and social media etiquettes!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Full of helpful tips and clear instruction on how to not only set goals, but make a PLAN to ensure you achieve them to the best of your ability.
This book doesn’t translate well into an audiobook, in that it’s filled with lists that are confusing to hear read out loud without the benefit of a visual aid but it’s certainly worth listening to (or even better, reading the paper copy).
I’d recommend reading twice. Read completely through once and then read through slowly, completing the recommended exercises.2 people found this helpful
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A very scientific reading where you have to focus on every single word and you better have a pen & paper beside you to write it down although the author says exactly that at the very beginning.
I enjoyed it a quick informative loaded read .1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I actually tried to do all the exercises in the book and it is indeed very inspiring but expect it to take a while. It might be difficult to find the time to look at our whole life’s aspirations and situations in such detail but I guess it is worth it on the long run. Great for people feeling a little lost.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Terrible book. I stopped around chapter 4. I couldn’t listen anymore. The author spends half a book asking stupid useless questions. Are you going to...? Where are you ...? What is the ...? Sooo annoying. Just go to the point. I feel stupid listening to this.
It’s also new age self-help BS. Better stick to genuine authors that talk about reaching your goals.
