Ditch Orange Guy? Certainly not – instead FCB gave the Kiwi icon a dog, Puck.

For FCB Aotearoa, a key part of being the Change Agency is knowing when to stay still.

Wellington CEO Sean Keaney has a good example. When the team won the Electoral Commission account five years ago, many thought it could be time to say goodbye to long-serving voting icon Orange Guy.

But instead FCB kept him and gave him a dog, Puck – “because every Orange Guy needs a sidekick,” says co-Chief Creative Officer Leisa Wall.

Keaney adds that throwing out the orange mascot would have been a disservice, both to Aotearoa and to the agency.
