AN IDEA THAT WON’T LET GO
I had been deeply entrenched in the idea of writing the third book in my trilogy featuring Sheriff John Withers and Deputy ‘Dawg’ Janowski, writes subscriber Phil Clinker. Following the success of Bakerton and Thurlow Junction, I had got around a quarter of the way through Copper Ridge, when a thought struck me! How could a man not know he had been operated on, and what would happen when he did find out the truth? I have to confess that the idea took over, until I eventually managed to create just such a man, who became my hero in A Confusion in Time, a thriller published by I Pegasus on 27 June.
David Parks is a multi-millionairewith his friends Denver, a mysterious American drifter, and Morice, the French owner of the tl local beach café. David also has the enigmatic Gregory, his chauffeur back home in leafy Surrey. When David and his friends are targeted by gunmen on the island, it sets in motion a train of events which slowly begin to awaken his lost memory and lead him to Robyn Newman, the beautiful scientist who just might have some of the answers he seeks.
