Woman's Own

WHEN WILL IT END?

A year ago, we all watched in horror as a deadly attack unfolded on our TV screens. But while we were safe at home, thousands of innocent people were running for their lives. On 7 October 2023, Hamas’ brutal assault on southern Israel resulted in 1,139 people losing their lives, and more than 200 being taken hostage.

None of us will ever forget those images of young festival-goers fleeing from gunfire, desperation and terror evident on their faces. The young woman pleading for her life and screaming out to her boyfriend as she was driven off on the back of a motorbike. The mother crying, carrying her two young sons, as she was led away from her home by Hamas militants. Every image as terrifying as the last.
