12 ways to score better without changing your golf swing

When club golfers are struggling with their games and the red mist descends, it may seem logical to opt for a swing overhaul and roll in a raft of changes. That might be a little hasty, however, with some of these top tips and drills perhaps paving the way to big improvements without the need for radical change…

1 Focus on the strike

When hitting the ball, especially with the driver, you might miss the sweetspot by the smallest of fractions, which causes the ball to have an undesirable shape to its flight. This doesn’t necessarily mean you made a bad swing, even though the result clearly wasn’t what you wanted. The first thing to do here is to determine if the strike or your technique was the cause. This drill can help you to do that.
