 ⚪ Sport-weight cotton yarn (fine, 4 ply): Peony Leaf (086) strawberry top and skirt
⚪ 2.5mm (US1.5/UK14) crochet hook
⚪ 2.0mm (US0/UK12) crochet hook (for strawberry top only)
 ⚪ Fibrefill (toy stuffing)
⚪ Yarn needle
⚪ Straight pins
⚪ Black embroidery floss (face details)

Finished size: 22cm (8½in) tall

Note: This pattern uses US crochet terminology. For equivalent Australian/UK terms, refer to the table. The yarn used is DK weight cotton yarn (light worsted, 8 ply). Adjust hook size to suit the yarn weight and individual stitch tension, ensuring a tight fabric through which stuffing will not show. Work in continuous (spiral) rounds unless otherwise indicated, marking the start of each round with a stitch marker. Colour changes are made on the last step of the previous stitch. Use an ‘invisible decrease’ for decrease stitches worked in the round: insert the hook in the front loop of the first stitch, without yarning over, insert the hook in the front loop of the second stitch, yarn over and pull the yarn through the two front loops (2 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through both loops on the hook.
