MK2 FOCUS RS
When the Mk2 Focus RS was released in 2009, it immediately became a firm favourite with the fast Ford scene. Its huge potential was quickly exploited by tuners and owners who constantly wanted more, and one of the earliest stand-out builds within the modified Ford community was this very Mk2, which was affectionally known as ‘Poppy’, largely due to its soundtrack.
Originally owned by Essex-based Dean Lewis, the car went through various guises over the years, as he always tried to stay one step ahead and constantly evolve the build. By 2016, the car was sponsored by Airtec Motorsport and was already a radically modified example when Dean decided to undertake the next huge revamp. With the car stripped down to a bare shell and a full rollcage installed, the mammoth rebuild began but was never finished as Dean lost momentum and decided to move on with other things.
