How did you end up living in Sendagi? I used to work in an art gallery here as a student and always wanted to live here. It has a very old Japanese feel. There are many houses where writers and artists lived in the past. There are a lot of temples and graveyards. It’s like an old art town. Atmospheric and historic. Since Japan’s 2011 earthquake, it has started changing – people have been pulling down more old buildings and putting up new ones. But it is still an interesting area.
