SEKHMET AND THE EYE OF RA

Ra was powerful and fearless, but he had a mighty enemy: the snake Apophis. It dwelled in the underworld and attacked the sun-ship as it passed, for it wanted to bring eternal darkness to Egypt!

Luckily, Ra always managed to escape from its clutches and bring light to the world the next day. The people of Egypt were grateful to him, for the sun made their crops grow. They worshipped him and made him their ruler!
