It’s a pleasure to have you, John, could you tell us a little bit about where you’re from and what got you started on your fitness journey? I grew up in Brisbane, Australia and was raised by my aunt and Uncle. I started playing tennis at age 7. I loved it and my coach saw potential, so I pursued playing competitively. My aunt was strict on what I could eat and stressed the importance of eating clean, organic whole foods which at the time was not mainstream as it is today. I give her credit for helping me form good habits early on. So, it was through competitive sport and my loving aunt that my fitness journey began. I understood and learned to appreciate from an early age the importance of taking care of your body because you can’t perform at a high level without good health.

I think it was Jim Ryun who said, “Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.” At this point, it’s part of my life and routine now. It’s like brushing my teeth. Sometimes I don’t feel like brushing my teeth, but I do it anyway because I know I have to. If it’s late or I’m
