AS A child, she had a hand-me-down suitcase full of plastic bricks and would spend hours playing with them. To Michelle Kruger, Lego was a status symbol. Kids who had lots of Lego were well-off. Those who didn’t – or had to wait for their brothers and sisters to outgrow the craze –really appreciated the stuff.
