Each of us arrived in a bit of a flurry, apologising for being late, cooing about each other’s outfits (lots of shoe envy!), whipping out phones to snap pics of the beautiful blooms in Botanicus, our round table location. Suddenly you could feel the big energy in the little flower shop – big personalities, with big hearts and big ideas. Our panel included: artist Lulama ‘Wolf ’ Mlambo, who works at the intersection of science, spirituality and history, and has been celebrated globally as an artist to watch; Keneilwe Mothoa, an artist and influential arbiter of style, with contributing design editor, and our host and editor-at-large, Nandi Dlepu, who is a strategist, synergist and changemaker, driving the vanguard of the South African creative economy.
