Cage & Aviary Birds

Cultivated and wild food for budgerigars

THERE is nothing new in my articles that has not been written in the pages of this magazine during the past century! However, for the newcomer there will be useful information about the plants and seeds that can be fed without adverse effects and the benefits of feeding certain plants. For the experienced breeder, it may make interesting reading.

Before we consider feeding any greenfood, wild or cultivated plants or seeds, we must consider its source. Ask:

How has it been cultivated?

Have pesticides been sprayed on to it?

Have any animals or birds defaecated on it?
