THIS time last year parents were well back into the routine of getting their kids off to school in the morning after the holidays, and juggling drop-offs, pick-ups and extra-curricular activities.

This year, thanks to lockdown, it’s an entirely different ballgame. Instead of delivering your child into the reliable hands of their schoolteacher, parents nationwide are having to step into the role of being the teacher.

Schools must now figure out how to deal with this unprecedented situation too, with teachers doing what they can to assist parents and learners.
