I hate having to replace something that could be repaired and kept usable. I know that that’s not the modern way, and in many cases it is cheaper and simpler to biff out and replace. It might make economic sense, but it doesn’t make sense to me.
So it was with our home phones. We have had a perfectly adequate set of three cordless phones connected to our landline; one in the bedroom, one in the kitchen, and the third in the study downstairs. We’ve had them for a long time and they work perfectly well.
