2025 Alfa Romeo Tonale gets interior refresh
The Alfa Romeo Tonale has received a revised centre console and an updated look for its digital instrument cluster for 2025.
The 2025 Alfa Romeo Tonale has been unveiled at the Paris motor show this week with a handful of interior upgrades.
New to the Tonale for 2025 is a slimmer centre console with a rotary gear selector replacing a traditional shifter, along with a revised interface for its 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Alfa Romeo says the updated look for the instrument cluster display will improve the readability and visibility of on-board information, including the clock, remaining fuel, and battery state-of-charge readings.
The Tonale line-up has also been streamlined in Europe to two trim levels – Sprint and Veloce – offering a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol, a 1.6-litre turbo-diesel, and a 1.3-litre plug-in hybrid, with the flagship Tributo Italiano trim deleted.
In Australia, the Alfa Romeo Tonale is offered in Ti and Veloce trims for the front-wheel-drive mild-hybrid petrol, while the all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid is limited to the Veloce.
Drive has contacted Stellantis Australia for local timing of the updated Alfa Romeo Tonale.
Priced from $50,990 before on-road costs, the Alfa Romeo Tonale is a rival to premium small SUVs such as the BMW X1, Volvo XC40, Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
While it is Alfa Romeo’s best-selling vehicle in Australia with 213 units sold between January and September 2024 – compared to 171 Giulias and 98 Stelvios – it is far behind the Audi Q3 (3585), BMW X1 (3365), internal-combustion Volvo XC40 (2428), and Mercedes-Benz GLA (2078).
At the 2024 Paris motor show, Alfa Romeo also showcased a hybrid version of its new Junior light SUV, the limited-run 33 Stradale supercar, and the special-edition Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport models.
