The Morning Show star Jennifer Aniston has shared an exciting update about season four.

The actor, who plays TV anchor Alex Levy in the hit Apple TV+ series, has confirmed that production is officially under way on the next season in a new Instagram post.

"Let @themorningshow season 4 games begin 🥳 Here we come! ❤️👏🏼👏🏼❤️🥂," read the caption, shared alongside two behind-the-scenes images.

The first photo shows Aniston next to co-star Reese Witherspoon, who plays on-screen friend and news presenter Bradley Jackson on the show.

Posing alongside Aniston and Witherspoon is comedian Tig Notaro, who is set to join the cast for season four. Notaro is seen holding a placard with her character's name Amanda.

In a second image, Aniston shares a close-up photo of her script for episode one titled 'My Roman Empire'. The post suggests the cast have reunited for a table read ahead of filming for the fourth season.

Notaro isn't the only new cast member joining the new season, with Oscar winner Jeremy Irons confirmed to be taking on the role of Aniston's on-screen father, Martin Levy.

Fellow Oscar winner Marion Cotillard is also joining The Morning Show season four as Celine Dumont, teased as a "savvy operator from a storied European family".

Sadly, it's been reported that series regular Julianna Margulies will not be reprising her role as Laura Peterson for the next season, but a future return to the show has not been ruled out by show bosses.

The Morning Show season four currently has no release date, but showrunner Charlotte Stoudt previously said that the season wouldn't air before November and this year's US presidential election.
