The Denison Youth Leadership Academy is an intensive and elite, seven-month program designed to provide Denison high school juniors with the opportunity to gain greater knowledge about their community, develop strong leadership skills, and gain more self and social awareness.

Students Learn:

• History of Denison and Grayson County
• Arts and Culture
• Construction and Real Estate
• Healthcare Services
• Industrial and Economic Development
• Social Services

In addition to class sessions, students work in teams to develop small group projects that address and benefit a special community need.

The Chamber's DYLA program recognizes that we can build vital communities that value fairness, diversity, and integrity by developing young leaders.  Denison Youth Leadership Academy is an initiative of the Denison Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Committee.

More than 400 students have participated in the program since its inception.
