Abstract
The 112th Surah of the Koran, al-ikhlas, is a central component of Islamic faith and encapsulates its self-understanding. Normally, it is understood as directed against the Christian doctrine of the incarnation. In this contribution, we would like to ask whether this interpretation is justified and which koranic motives are identifiable which can be brought against belief in the incarnation.
