Originally from Puerto Rico and Colombia, Balancer’s members met in Boston, and are currently residing and working in Brooklyn, NY.
They brought together their visions and energy to create a sound influenced by electronic music, psychedelic music, pop, and alternative rock (lets say). The music drew inspiration from many things, specifically their native countries, dualism and foreign dimensions. They went into the studio a few months after meeting each other and recorded their debut EP “House in the Clouds” which was officially released on September 1, 2012. They had absolutely no expectations about the EP; frontman Francisco Valentin says “it honestly felt as if the music just popped out us and we just felt the need to record it, only for the sake of it."
For balancer that is what music is about, letting go of all your expectations and following your gut.
They released a second EP “Transitions” on June 2013 and after a extremely successful Kickstarter campaign Balancer released their debut album “Tipsoo” on February 2014.
