Eric Knight has taken the contemporarily appropriate “do-it-yourself” attitude to a whole new level. Opening for acts including KISS, Dave Matthews Band, Aerosmith and Kid Rock, Knight has worked tirelessly to introduce his original music to the masses.
He recently walked away with Outstanding Male Solo Artist bragging rights at the Rockies Awards in Hollywood. He offers a decidedly unbridled take on rock that remains tastefully aware of rock and roll’s pioneers but determined to redefine it even as he picks up the torch.
Knight’s latest project Rock act Disciples of Babylon come from Hollywood – and so does their sound. Big, broad and epic, their music conjures up the huge stadium bands – Muse, Foo Fighters, Queen, The Who, Stone Temple Pilots, U2 and Led Zeppelin.
Their debut EP ‘Welcome to Babylon’ was produced by GRAMMY winner Andres Torres (La Santa Cecilia, Alejandro Sanz) producer of the Luis Fonsi megahit, “Despacito” which tied the record for most weeks [14] at number one sitting atop of the ‘Billboard Hot 100 Chart’ and has been nominated for three GRAMMY Awards. The DOB project marked his first foray working with an American Rock band. Mastering of the EP was handled by GRAMMY nominated mastering engineer Joe LaPorta who is best known for his work with the Foo Fighters, Killers, Imagine Dragons and Vampire Weekend at Sterling Sound in NYC making this a world class project in every sense of the word. The band's latest album ‘The Rise and Fall of Babylon’ was just released to much critical acclaim. Their lead single “Without You” landed number one on the Eclectic Music Lover Top 20 Music Chart as well as #25 Top 100 Songs of 2017 in that same publication alongside acts such as: Metallica, 30 Seconds to Mars, Green Day & The Foo Fighters.
