A multi million albums selling artist worldwide, Belgian singer-songwriter Helmut Lotti (born October 29, 1969) was first moved by music at a young age upon hearing the voice of Elvis Presley. Becoming a crooner much in the style of his idol, his first album appeared in 1990.
After exploring Elvis on a number of records Lotti shifted gears and recorded a series of classical albums entitled ‘Helmut Goes Classic’. A brilliant move that catapulted him quickly into stardom, made him travel the world as a performer, achieve multi-platinum album sales and different number 1 positions on the official billboard charts.
After five Classic albums, Helmut Lotti also made light classical versions of other music styles, such as African, Latin American, Russian and pop repertoire. With these albums and his tribute to Elvis, ‘My tribute to the King’, Lotti achieved worldwide success, including in the United States. On home soil, he was the first Flemish artist ever to perform six consecutive evenings in a sold out Forest National in Brussels.
His 2006 released ‘The Crooners’ album reached the number 1 position on the Belgian Ultratop chart. The surprising release of ‘Mijn Hart & Mijn Lijf’ in 2013, an album with songs he wrote solely in his mother tongue, was followed by an intimate club tour in Flanders.
With the 2021 released album ‘Italian Songbook’ he embarked on a European tour once again.
When in November 2022 Helmut Lotti was asked to perform a song from the Top 1000 of alternative radio station WILLY, he decided to take on the challenge with both hands and put on an audiovisual performance that literally saw him change from a classical artist to a hardrock singer. The video of his version of ‘Run To The Hills’ on Youtube went through the roof and Helmut was asked to perform at Graspop Metal Meeting in June 2023, one of the most famous metal festivals in the world.
The public acclaim was so overwhelming Helmut decided to release the concert by the title ‘Hellmut Goes Metal’. The album went straight to number 1 upon release in September 2023, an achievement followed by an extensive sold out club tour and a dozen festivals in 2024.
Having rediscovered the music of his youth, Helmut Lotti decided to record a first studio album with his newly fitted hardrock repertoire, including two brand new songs of his own. The album will be released in 2025 and Helmut looks forward to take it on the road in the spring and the summer season to venues and festivals across the Benelux.
