"Blue-collar singer songwriter with a Glam Rock heart."
There’s a hopeful line in Joe Normal's latest single “Just A Normal Day In Normaltown,” that the downtrodden will somehow triumph, that despite one’s troubles there is still “some good news up ahead.”
With songs that often root for the underdog, international press is calling JOE NORMAL "a working class hero" and “an American Ray Davies” with regular comparisons to Paul Westerberg, Bruce Springsteen, and John Mellencamp. Not a bad bunch of average Joe’s!
Fleeing the sooty factories of Elizabeth, New Jersey for the grimey alleyways of Los Angeles, Joe Normal® started as a founding member of 90's sunset strip glam-pop legends THE ZEROS, co-wrote the title track to Sammy Hagar’s “Not 4 Sale” album, and even recorded with punk icon Stiv Bators & Lords Of The New Church.
He's shared stages with rockers and folkers alike. Namely Dramarama, Elliott Smith, Jesse Malin, Guns N' Roses, L.A. Guns, The Dogs D'Amour, Faster Pussycat, Gene Loves Jezebel, Willie Nile, Tonic, Gin Blossoms, Joe Grushecky, The Smithereens and has had screen time with celebrities Howard Stern, Loni Anderson, Peter Noone, and Chef Bobby Flay.
Along with these solid Rock credentials, Joe Normal's recognized for his own personal style and artistry, writing relatable songs and anthems about working class life, its struggles, its people and themes, with a sense of hope to keep going for your dreams.
Have a Normal day.
