Versatile and multi-faceted songwriter, producer and videomaker Gionathan is active in many countries. In addition to his native Italy, he is busy with projects in Spain and the United States, among other places. He has also been able to demonstrate his diverse experience on the stage of X-Factor Italy.
In 2014, as “Gionathan and the Groovers”, his first album “Come Sabbia” was released, which was produced together with DJ MistaB. The album and the released singles were often played by the radios in Italy, even won competitions, were included on numerous compilations and allowed Gionathan to play on the stage of big festivals.
In 2015 began the live activities of “Gionathan and the Groovers” and was released the album “DiVersione Acustica”. Sold-out concerts followed and again the singles were often played by radio stations all over Italy. In 2017 Gionathan and the Groovers are finalist at TourMusicFest, becomes third (out of 1300 projects) at SanRemo Rock Festival and is selected by Red Ronnie as FIAT Music Band to open the concert of The Kolors in Turin.
In 2018 Gionathan released, including an elaborate music video, the single “Niente di strano”. In the summer of the same year, he signs with the Swiss label profimusic and goes on another tour, which takes him all over Italy. The following year, the singles and music videos “Caduta Libera”, “Friendzone”, “A tempo su di noi” and “Stanotte” are released.
In January 2020, Gionathan is one of 10 artists invited to RadioMusicFest, a radio and TV event, and in February he gives a concert on the television program VeNew274. Both events will be broadcast throughout Europe. From May to August 2020, he released his project “Corro e Basta”. This song was released in three-week intervals in 5 completely different versions.
After that, Gionathan released three singles in English: the nu-disco song “I Feel the Groove”, with “Mary did you know” an urban version of the Christmas classic and with “Good premonition” a smooth neo-soul ballad.
In 2021 Gionathan released the single “Dimmi di no”, which was followed by a tour with a full band through central and southern Italy. In the fall he released the single “Luna Park” in collaboration with Karen Marra (The Voice of Italy) and in February 2022 he was chosen among the 24 finalists of the first Christian music festival of Sanremo. In this, Gionathan won the prize for the best composition and the Alberto Testa prize with the song “Tu mi hai amato per primo”.
On April 8, 2022, “Anima Libera” will be released Gionathan’s first solo album.
