Awash is a Dutch band that creates melodic guitar pop music with a hint of indie and accents of piano and fretless bass. Its band members originate from the Breda, Tilburg and Rotterdam areas of the Netherlands. Compelling in both small and big emotions, lyrical and fragile, Awash fully commits and can be compared to R.E.M., Editors and Racoon (NL). They’ve racked up more than 200 gigs a.o. as support act of James Walsh (Starsailor), performances on various national radio shows (3FM) and both national and international festivals. Their enthusiasm and hunger for the ultimate performance leads them to ever more beautiful locations.
After their well received debut album ‘Turn the Lights’ (2013), their EP ‘Carry On’ has just been released. Recorded in their own home studios and self-produced, the EP contains 4 diverse songs that present a single story. From intense pain and grief to heavenly joy , it presents an emotional journey that reaches its final destination in the birth of a daughter.
