Influenced by bossa nova, the great voices of MPB and jazz, Leonel Laterza shows resources that allow him to visit, in a particular way, the most varied musical genres. He has performed alongside big names in our music such as Rosa Passos, Roberto Menescal, Fátima Guedes, Sueli Costa, Zé Luiz Mazziotti, Simone Guimarães and Sérgio Santos and Ellen Oléria, among others. There are two recorded CDs (“Esmeraldas” - 2006 and “Guardados” - 2011). The latter was pre-selected for the PREMIO DA MÚSICA BRASILEIRA in 2012 and one of the tracks was chosen for a compilation made by W. O. A. Records “Chilout Zone Vol. 5”, in India. Their CDs can also be heard on the Spanish RNE radio program. Twice he received the award for best interpreter at the SESC TOM JOBIM MUSIC Award. He was also the winner of the FIRST MUSIC PROFESSIONAL AWARD, in the Solo Performer category. He formed CAIS TRIO, which in December 2015 recorded a DVD with the participation of Ellen Oléria, Simone Guimarães Integrates the "Zíngaro Trio", alongside Rogério Midlej and Tico de Moraes. Today Leonel Laterza is preparing for the release of the album DELICADEZA, with songs by Brazilian master Dori Caymmi and is dedicated to other projects for his solo career, including 2 more EPs. He created the program on youtube called "Trilha Brasileira" where he plays several MPB classics, alongside great musicians.
