Recipient of several prestigious awards, this artist from Quebec has toured in France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Romania, the United States, Russia, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina.
After training in theater, Paule-Andrée Cassidy found herself devoting more and more attention to singing. Between 1995 and 2014, she released seven albums, which showcase her strong commitment to the interpretation of the lyrics (in the most noble sense) and to a repertoire of texts of the highest literary and musical quality.
She has recorded works by Quebecers Gilles Vigneault, Sylvain Lelièvre, Sophie Anctil, Stéphane Robitaille and Daniel Boucher as well as the repertoire of Barbara, Anne Sylvestre, Jacques Brel, Louis Aragon, Jean Ferrat, Georges Brassens (in Spanish), Pascal Rinaldi, Jacques Prévert, Bernard Dimey, Gaston Couté, Kurt Weill, Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave (in French), Astor Piazzolla, Pablo Neruda and Atahualpa Yupanqui.
In addition to singing a few times with her daughter Lou-Adriane Cassidy and recording a duet with Bïa, she has developed an original repertoire by collaborating with Reggie Brassard, Bruno Fecteau, Julie Fradette, Marie-Christine Lê-Huu, Tomás Jensen, Les Charbonniers de l’enfer, Geneviève Toupin, Anique Granger and Michel Rivard.
Paule-Andrée has a warm, deep voice that is rich in emotion. This talented and charming singer has developed a devoted following and her solid stage performances receive rave reviews. She is currently working on her 8th album.
