The shrewdest industry eyes are now focused upon Kydus as this modest, consistent talent who is building his path in dance music society. From turbulence to shining brightly, Kydus' back story is one of determination and focus. A self-perpetuated talent, wrapped in creativity, viewing the future and living in the moment. Kydus has a true understanding of his craft, fusing his unashamedly honest experience and emotion with intricate technical studio skills and extensive DJ-ing experience. In recent years Kydus has perfected his brand of infectious, driving, flawless melodic house and techno. Aligning a series of exciting originals and collaborations with some of the world’s most revered labels such as Ultra Music, Perfect Havoc, Big Beat, Toolroom, Saved, Knee Deep in Sound, Stereo & his spiritual home Circus Recordings. Enticing loyal support from such luminaries as Eats Everything, Patrick Topping, Carl Cox, Yousef, Hot Since 82, Joris Voorn, Darius Syrossian & Steve Lawler.
The Kydus musical CV has had unparalleled support from Radio One’s Pete Tong earning him no less than 4 essential new tunes on his BBC Radio 1 Essential Selection. It’s these releases (amongst others) that have created a demand for Kydus original material and remixes. In the last couple of years, Kydus made a bold move and changed his musical direction. While still delivering tech bangers (mainly via his own Kinetic Records imprint) he decided it was time to create his accessible blend of uplifting, melodic & commercial house music. This hasn’t stopped him from releasing key tracks on major labels that started with ‘Markeeta’s Way’ on Danny Howard’s Nothing Else Matters (written with Camelphat) which now had over 1 million plays. This was followed up by the huge single ‘Aftermath’ on Atlantic / Big Beat in the US racking up over 2M streams. Then the techno/house DJ and producer came back with another smash single at the end of 2019 with “Destiny”, a sultry collaboration with the in-demand, London-based singer Camden Cox. The single features shimmering synths set against a classic house beat amassing over 680,000 plays to date. 2020 showed no sign of Kydus slowing down on the production front. His much anticipated single for Big Beat Records ‘Gravity’ (released just before the pandemic in March 2020) picked up where 2019’s “Destiny’ left off and his record label ‘Kinetic’ was firmly established, becoming a creative hub and outlet, highlighting the more underground Kydus sound. Kinetic's success has seen recent releases hitting all the right notes with the key Tastemaker DJ’s supporting and huge playlist additions from editorial curators at Spotify and Apple Music boosting his global appeal.
As the DJ/live scene turns a corner and we return to the new normal the Kydus will be back on the road playing up and down the UK and around the World. In the meantime, you can tune into his monthly podcast/Kinetic Radio show to get your Kydus fix!
