Gran's home overrun with rats as son left 'physically sick' after seeing rodent
Agnes Black lives in the flat with her daughter Patricia and son Kevin, who spotted a rat the day after pest control officers had visited, and was physically sick.
A grandmother says she "can't take any more" as her flat is infested with rats - despite complaining to her landlord multiple times.
Agnes Black says her home in Greenock in Scotland has been over run with rodents for years.
But she says despite several attempts by River Clyde Homes and their pest control team to solve the problem the rats haven't gone away.
The 62-year-old has a string of health conditions and says the rodents are ruining her life. She said: "A rat came out and was caught in a trap.
"River Clyde Homes have been out and have blocked up at the holes in the kitchen and bathroom. The rats are still getting in - the whole close has them.
"I don't know how many times I have called River Clyde Homes, but we keep getting passed from pillar to post. All they say is 'we'll pass it on'. I want a proper inspection."

She said: "The one he found in the kitchen was still alive, it was moving." Agnes said: "This is affecting all our health. I can't take any more.
"I have three granddaughters, but I'm not getting to see them. My other son and his wife won't let them come here because of the rats.
"We found seven dead rats. They keep coming back. I was told it was because we live near a railway line." Agnes says she can't live in peace in her own home.
She said: "I hear them running about. I wake up at 5am, and I'm always on edge. It's the health aspect and the disease they spread that concerns me the most."
Agnes has lived in the flat for 25 years and doesn't want to move but says she can't move on and decorate her house, until she knows the rats are gone for good.
Housing bosses confirmed that proofing works would be done and further works will be carried out on Tuesday. A River Clyde Homes spokesperson said it had visited the home for proofing works and further work.
They said: "We will continue to engage with Ms Black until the matter is resolved."
