High winds and potential tornadoes are moving into Hampton Roads Wednesday afternoon.

Chesapeake
Chesapeake Public Schools: All after-school and evening activities, including YMCA child care and the Boys and Girls Club, have been canceled.

Hampton
Hampton City Schools: All after-school and evening activities, athletic practices, and competitions are canceled. The afternoon high school eLearning and GED programs at the Adult and Alternative Learning Center will transition to remote learning.

Newport News Public Schools: All after-school activities, events, and athletic practices and competitions are canceled.

Norfolk
Norfolk Public Schools: While after-school activities will be canceled, after-school care will continue as scheduled, according to the district’s Facebook page.

Portsmouth Public Schools: All after-school events and activities are canceled.

Suffolk
Suffolk Public Schools: All after-school athletics and activities are canceled.

Tidewater Community College
TCC will close at 3 p.m. All in-person classes, services and activities are canceled. Students enrolled in online and Zoom classes should participate as scheduled.

Williamsburg-James City County Schools: All after-school events and activities are canceled or postponed.
