It was revealed earlier this month that Mariah Carey has borrowed a whopping $18million on her penthouse - after her shopping sprees flew 'out of control'.

It was reported that Mariah's spending had hit $1 million-a-month - with the singer dropping $100,000-a-month of exotic flowers and $45,000 on doggie spa treatments.

Mariah Carey's $100k-a-month on exotic flowers

She split from Aussie billionaire tycoon James Packer in 2016 because of her obsession with 'money, money, money,' with insiders reckoning she spent $45,000 on doggie spa treatments, $100k-a-month on exotic flowers and $10k-a-time for hair and make-up.

In November, Radar Online reported that Mariah's spending had hit $1 million-a-month on out-of-control shopping sprees buying 'useless stuff' with 'no price tag too high'.

The full insight into her spending was revealed after she was found to have borrowed a mind boggling $18million on the Manhattan penthouse she bought for half that amount.

Mariah - net worth is estimated at $350 million - purchased her Tribeca apartment for $9 million cash in June 1999 through a company Franklin Views LLC set up by her business manager. She bought the penthouse and the apartment below, then joined them together.

In total, she borrowed $18.6million from JP Morgan Chase and $2.6million from City National Bank. The $18.6 million is still outstanding though the smaller amount was paid off in October 2016.

And in case you're worried about those poor puppies in the SoCal summer heat, there's also an air-conditioning unit.

Sharing snaps of the lavish mansion on X, formerly Twitter, in 2017, Paris wrote: 'My dogs live in this two-story doggy mansion that has air conditioning, heating, designer furniture, and a chandelier. Loves it.'

Elton and his glasses often hit the headlines and in 2013 he was forced to deny claims he had hired a separate hotel room in which to store his spectacles. 

He previously admitted he owns 250,000 pairs - but for Sir Elton that just isn't enough. 

Back in 2010, Elton told BBC Radio: 'I don't have a iPod or a mobile phone or a computer. 

'I do have a quarter of a million pairs of glasses but I don't even have a mobile phone! If people want to get hold of me they can.'

On a previous tour, the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road singer told gig organisers in Belo Horizonte, south east Brazil, to reserve an extra room for his glasses collection, according to Brazil's Pampulha newspaper.

The singer was also said to have stipulated that the room must be kept at a constant temperature of 16C and that his suite must be adorned with flowers.

He is believed to have demanded four two-metre high vases containing palm trees in his dressing room and seven other square vases, five containing 16 red roses and two with 16 white roses.

Dubbed the Bat-illac - Justin infamously paid $100,000 to have his Cadillac painted black with Batman signs on it.

Appearing on TV in 2011 to talk about his new Batmobile, he was asked whether he was into Batman for the comic books or the movies. A grinning Justin quipped: 'I like both, but I'm really into just the car.'

Kanye reportedly splurged on six special-edition beds from a company which supplies London's Savoy Hotel, the total coming to $1million.

The couple were also said to have blinged out their kitchen with a Swarovski-encrusted fridge freezer and almost $1million worth of Electrolux appliances. 

A source told The Sun at the time: 'They expect the interior to cost twice as much as the property. They're spending more than a million on a security system alone.'

Nicolas Cage's $276k stolen dinosaur skull

A self-proclaimed history buff, Nicolas Cage allegedly once outbid fellow actor Leonardo DiCaprio for a seven-million-year-old Tarbosaurus skull.

The $276,000 artefact turned out to be stolen, however, and Nicolas had to return it to the Mongolian government. 

In 2015, Nicolas agreed toforfeit the rare stolen dinosaur skull to U.S. authorities so itcould be returned to Mongolia.

The office of Preet Bharara, the U.S. Attorney in Manhattan,filed a civil forfeiture complaint to takepossession of the skull, which was then repatriated to Mongolia.

The lawsuit and a press release from Preet's office didnot specifically name Cage as the owner at the time but the lawsuitdescribed the skull as having been bought at auction from aBeverly Hills gallery, I.M. Chait, in March 2007 for $276,000.

The Tyrannosaurus bataar, like its more famous relativeTyrannosaurus rex, was a carnivore that lived approximately 70million years ago. Its remains have been discovered only inMongolia, which criminalised the export of dinosaur fossils in1924.

But in addition to owning multiple homes and a luxury yacht, Johnny Depp is said to spend $30,000 a month on wine.

The jaw-dropping revelation came in 2016 when Johnny found out that he had 'lost' $650 million. 

Johnny explained to a court in London during his libel trial with ex-wife Amber Heard that he had been late to her 30th birthday party as he was having an important meeting with his advisers.

He told the court: 'Since Pirates II and III, I had made — and it seems a ludicrous number — $650million.

As well as his huge wine spend, it was revealed Johnny travelled by private jet and maintained 12 storage facilities housing his fine art and memorabilia collections. 

TMC also claimed the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor spent $75million on the purchase of 14 residences, including a chateau in France, splashed out $18million on a luxury yacht and paid more than $3million to blast the ashes of author Hunter Thompson over Aspen, Colorado, from a specially-made cannon.
