Emma (Phillipa Soo) has just married the love of her life, but nothing stays perfect for ever. On a trip to Alaska, the helicopter carrying her husband Jesse (Luke Bracey) crashes and he's presumed dead. Four years later, Emma has finally found love again with Sam (Simu Liu), her best friend since high school... only for Jesse - who's been stranded on a deserted island - to turn up alive again.
Based on the novel by Daisy Jones & The Six writer Taylor Jenkins Reid, this is heady, romantic stuff played with charm by a talented cast, especially Hamilton's Soo and Shang-Chi's Liu. (100 minutes)
