Netflix has officially announced the casting of Emmy nominee Milo Ventimiglia (This Is Us) and Britt Lower (Severance), who will be joining the I Will Find You cast. The upcoming thriller miniseries will be based on Harlan Coben‘s 2023 bestselling novel.
“The series centers around an innocent father serving a life sentence for the murder of his own son. When he receives evidence that his son my still be alive, he is determined to break out of prison to discover the truth,” reads the the synopsis.
Who is joining the I Will Find You cast?
Besides Ventimiglia and Lower, Logan Browning (Dear White People) and Erin Richards (The Crown) have also been tapped to star opposite Sam Worthington. The Avatar vet will be leading the cast as David Burroughs, who’s described as a father serving a life sentence after being accused of murdering his own son.
Listed below are the official character descriptions for the rest of the cast:
- Lower is Rachel Mills – David’s ex-sister-in-law and a former decorated reporter whose life fell apart after she was fired. When she discovers evidence suggesting an incredible secret, Rachel views it as a once-in-a-lifetime story that could be her ticket back to journalism.
- Ventimiglia is Hayden – Rachel’s ex-boyfriend, who remains her close friend and confidant. He is from a prominent Boston family and finds purpose in working for his family’s philanthropic foundations.
- Browning is Sarah Greer – a member of the FBI’s Fugitive Task Force in Boston alongside legendary agent Max Williams. Together they have become a valuable duo for the bureau, catching some of the country’s most notorious fugitives — until the Burroughs case threatens to upend everything they’ve worked for.
- Richards is Cheryl Dreason – David’s ex-wife and a talented and compassionate pediatric surgeon. Cheryl still grieves the loss of her son, but has worked hard to rebuild her life. When her ex-husband, David, breaks out of prison, long-buried secrets threaten to unravel everything she’s built.
I Will Find You is created and executive produced by Robert Hull and Coben under his production company called Final Twist Productions, as part of his creative partnership with Netflix. It is also executive produced by Quantum Leap team Bryan Wynbrandt and Steven Lilien, along with John Weber. Prior to this, the streamer has already released several Harlan Coben shows, including last year’s Fool Me Once, and the most recent drama Missing You.
