Saraya Drops Huge Update About Her AEW Comeback

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya, previously known as Paige in WWE, has finally addressed her return status. After departing WWE in 2022, she debuted in AEW at Grand Slam in the same year.

Saraya already captured the AEW Women’s World Championship in her three-year run in Tony Khan’s promotion. Determined to reclaim the title, she competed in a number one contender’s match on the October 8th edition of AEW Dynamite.

The match featured Willow Nightingale, Jamie Hayter, Nyla Rose, and Saraya, with Nightingale securing the victory. Following her loss, Saraya has remained absent from AEW television. During her absence, fans speculated about her being injured. She quickly dismissed the rumor, confirming that she was not dealing with any injuries.

Recently, Saraya provided a significant update on her wrestling career, confirming that she is approaching retirement. She expressed that her focus has been on elevating others in the pro-wrestling world. Although Saraya is preparing to step away from wrestling, she confirmed that she will return to AEW at some point in the future.

During her appearance on the Lightweights podcast, Saraya talked about her recent ventures outside of wrestling while promoting her book. She stated, “Yeah. I mean, I feel like at this age and time, there isn’t really a spot for me right now. I feel Iike everybody’s got their own thing. Eventually… I love wrestling, I will be back at work at some point. Saraya is currently focused on promoting her book, Hell in Boots: Clawing My Way Through Nine Lives, set for release on March 25, 2025. With her book set to be released this week, will this finally lead to her return to AEW?
