RLJE Films and Shudder have released the official Clown in a Cornfield trailer for its newest slasher thriller, featuring a killer clown terrorizing citizens of a small town. The film is slated to make its debut in theaters on May 9, 2025. Following its world premiere at the recent 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival, it has currently garnered a Tomatometer score of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 22 reviews.
“Quinn and her father have just moved to the quiet town of Kettle Springs hoping for a fresh start. Instead, she discovers a fractured community that has fallen on hard times after the treasured Baypen Corn Syrup Factory burned down,” reads the official synopsis. “As the locals bicker amongst themselves and tensions boil over, a sinister, grinning figure emerges from the cornfields to cleanse the town of its burdens, one bloody victim at a time. Welcome to Kettle Springs. The real fun starts when Frendo the clown comes out to play.”

Who is in the Clown in a Cornfield trailer?
The video provides the audience with a first look at the main cast led by Ginny & Georgia star Katie Douglas as Quinn Maybrook and Abigail star Kevin Durand. Joining them are Will Sasso as Sheriff Dunne, Aaron Abrams as Dr. Maybrook, Carson MacCormac as Cole, Vincent Muller as Rust, Ayo Solanke as Tucker, Alexandre Martin Deakin as Matt, Kaitlyn Bacon as Jessica, and more.
Clown in a Cornfield is directed by Eli Craig, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Carter Blanchard. The R-rated film has a total runtime of 96 minutes. It is executive produced by Carter Blanchard, Jean-Luc De Fanti, George Hamilton, Myron John Tataryn, Kostas Tsoukalas, and Max Work. The creative team also includes cinematographer Brian Pearson and editor Sabrina Pitre.
