CHICO — Those making their way down The Esplanade may have noticed a new addition to the Bidwell Mansion property.
New metal fencing was put up along the front of the mansion Tuesday morning as crews continued working on welding and placing the fencing around the rear side facing Chico State.
This is the first sign of development not associated with debris cleanup since the mansion burned in December.
While no official announcement has been made as to whether the mansion will be rebuilt, the North Valley Community Foundation started a fund for recovery efforts not long after the mansion was destroyed.
